French Halloween Flashcards and Card Game
These
French flashcards can be used to teach the following Halloween monsters:
une sorci?e
As well, these flashcards demonstrate the rooms of a house, furniture in a house and prepositions of place. A great game to play to get the students using the language in the cards is Fish. The teacher makes two copies of each card and pastes them onto poster board. Students are divided into groups of four or five. Each group gets a deck of card. The students sit in a circle and they deal out 5 cards to everybody. Students take turns asking other students if they have cards:
S1: Avez-vous une sorci?e dans la cuisine? S2: Oui (or Non).
If S2 has the card, S2 gives it to S1 and S1 gets a point. If S2 doesn't have the card then S1 takes a card from the deck. Then the next student takes a turn. The winner is the student with the most points at the end. If a student runs out cards, they get two new cards from the deck.
