Dialogue:
The Advantages of Online Courses

Dad: Hey Erin, how was school today?
Erin It was good.
Dad: Did you see the counsellor about changing your class?
Erin: Yeah, I did. Unfortunately, the class I wanted was full.
Dad: Uh, oh. So what are you going to do?
Erin: I’m not sure. The counsellor suggested that I take the course online, but I don’t know if I want to do that.
Dad: Why not? One advantage of taking the course online is that it’s flexible. You can do the work whenever you want.
Erin: Yeah, That’s true, but it won’t be any fun without my friends in class.
Dad: That is one big drawback. And another big drawback is that it easy to fall behind in your coursework if you don’t go to class every day. You have to make a schedule for studying and stick to it.
Erin: That’s what I’m worried about. I really don’t know what to do. Dad: Well, why don’t you register for the course and try it for a few weeks.
Erin: I guess that’s a good idea. If I don’t like it I can always drop it later.
