Dialogue:
Making an Appointment 2

Receptionist: Good afternoon, Birch Medical Centre.
Patient: Hello, I’d like to schedule an appointment with Dr. Garcia.
Receptionist: Can I have your name please?
Patient: David Reed.
Receptionist: David Reed? That’s R-E-E-D, right?
Patient: That’s right?
Receptionist: Have you been here before Mr. Reed?
Patient: Yes, I have.
Receptionist: Okay, Mr. Reed. Now, what do you need to see the doctor for?
Patient: Nothing serious. I just need a medical check-up for my insurance.
Receptionist: Well, the earliest opening we have is next Monday. Are you available in the morning between 9 and 11?
Patient: I am actually out of town on Monday and won’t be back until Tuesday evening. Do you have anything available on Wednesday?
Receptionist: We do. We have an opening in the afternoon at 1 o’clock. Is that convenient?
Patient: It is. Please put me down for 1 o’clock.
Receptionist: Certainly. That’s Wednesday the 10th at 1 o’clock.
Patient: Okay, see you then.
Receptionist: Good bye, Mr. Reed.
