News Stories 12:
Mugging in the Downtown Area

Good evening! I’m Chris Gunn and I’m here with today’s top news stories.

Police are investigating a mugging in the downtown area. A man in his 40s was attacked while walking home from work. The man’s wallet was stolen and his nose was broken in the attack. His attacker is described as a male of average height with long hair and a tattoo on his neck. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.

Three people were seriously injured today when their car skidded out of control and hit a tree. All three were rushed to hospital by ambulance. Two of the accident victims have been released and the third is in stable condition.

City Council has announced plans to upgrade 4th Street over the summer. The street will be widened and a bike path will be installed. Motorists are advised to find alternative routes while construction is ongoing.

And that’s today’s top news stories.
