The Newscast: Flooding on the Highway
Good evening! This is Chris Gunn with your local news at six. If you are thinking of heading to Whistler for some skiing this weekend you might want to reconsider. Highway 99 between Whistler and Pemberton is temporarily closed due to flooding caused by heavy rains and melting snow. Motorists travelling between Vancouver and Whistler can expect lengthy delays. Crews are working to reopen the highway, but are currently unable to say when the road will be reopened.
