Dialogue: Leaving Instructions for a Coworker

A: Hey, Kerry. I’m taking my lunch now. I’ll be back at 2:00.

B: All right. If anyone comes looking for you, I’ll let them know.

A: Thanks. Oh, and speaking of people looking for me, I’m expecting a call from Gurjeet. Are you going to be here for the next hour?

B: Yeah, I’ve already taken my lunch.

A: Do you think you could do me a favour then?

B: Sure. What do you need?

A: If Gurjeet calls while I’m out, can you tell him that I have the forms for him to sign? And tell him he can drop by anytime to sign them.

B: And what should I do if he drops by while you’re out?

A: Have him sign the forms. They’re in the top drawer of my desk.

B: All right. Anything else I can do while you’re out?

A: That’s all, thanks.

B: Enjoy your lunch, then.
