Dialogue: Sharing Information about a Memo
A: Hey, Malcom. You can’t keep your bike there. You are going to have to move it.
B: Why not? It’s out of the way here.
A: But it’s blocking the fire exit. Didn’t you get the memo?
B: Memo? What memo?
A: The safety and security memo. It was sent out yesterday.
B: Oh. I haven’t checked my mail yet. What did it say?
A: It just said that we had to keep the fire exits clear for safety reasons. The memo specifically mentioned leaving bikes in the hallways by the exits.
B: Oh! Darn! Well, I guess I’d better move it then. That’s too bad! It was really convenient.
A: Yeah, I’m keeping my bike in my office now.
B: I guess that’s what I’ll have to do. What else did the memo say?
A: We were asked to keep the back doors locked at all times. They don’t want any unauthorized people entering the building.
B: That makes sense.
