Dialogue:
Can’t We Just Go to the Beach and Relax?

Dad: Well, what do you think of the room?
Erin: The view from the balcony is gorgeous! You can see right across the bay. The water is crystal clear. Oh! And check out the swimming pool. I can’t wait to dive in.
Dad: Before we do that, let’s take a moment and plan what we’re going to do this afternoon.
Erin: Sure. What do you want to do?
Dad: I got these brochures from the lobby. This rainforest trek looks interesting. It says it’s a 5 km guided hike. Your guide explains the local plants and wildlife. How does that sound?
Erin: Nah, it’ll be too hot to go hiking in the afternoon.
Dad: We’ll how about this one then: tour the city’s most important landmarks and historical buildings on a double-decker bus.
Erin: Sounds boring. What else is there?
Dad: We could check this out.
Erin: The Museum of Natural History? Dad, why do you have to turn every vacation into school? Can’t we just go to the beach and relax?
Dad: I guess. Hey, we can go snorkeling at the beach! See this: snorkel with a biologist and learn about the local marine life.
Erin: Dad!
Dad: Just kidding.
