Coping with Stress
A: Here’s your chicken teriyaki burger.
B: Thank you.
A: And here’s your steak sandwich. Enjoy your meal.
C: Thanks…That chicken burger looks delicious. But isn’t it supposed to have pineapple? I don’t see any pineapple on it.
B: Yeah, that’s what the menu said. It looks like they forgot. Oh, well. No big deal.
C: We can send it back if you want.
B: No that’s okay. I’m really hungry. I’ll just eat it as is.
C: It’s up to you. …Hmm. They messed up my order as well.
B: What’s wrong with your sandwich?
C: The meat is overcooked. I asked for rare, but the steak is well done. She’s not going to get a big tip from me.
B: Uh dad? I don’t think I can eat this chicken burger after all. It’s still raw in the middle.
C: That does it. I’m not paying for this. Let’s get out of here and try someplace else.
