Even the Monkey Falls from the Tree Sometimes
Erin: Dad, why aren’t you at work?
Dad: I slept in. I just woke up a few minutes ago.
Erin: You slept in? You never sleep in. You’re always the first one awake in the morning. I thought you had already gone to work.
Dad: Yeah, well, even the monkey falls from the tree sometimes.
Erin: What happened? Did you forget to set your alarm?
Dad: No, my alarm went off at six as usual. I thought I hit snooze, but I guess I turned it off instead.
Erin: You’d better hurry then.
Dad: I’m going to take a quick shower. Do you mind putting some coffee on?
Erin: Sure, I’ll do that right now. Would you like something for breakfast as well? Maybe, some toast?
Dad: Toast sounds good.
Erin: And what do you want on your toast?
Dad: Butter and jam please. Thanks!
