Dialogue:
Have You Ever Eaten Japanese Food Before?
Erin: Dad, I’m hungry. What’s for dinner?
Dad: I thought we could eat out for a change.
Erin: Great! Where do you want to go?
Dad: How about that new Japanese restaurant. Have you eaten there before?
Erin: No, not yet.
Dad: Well, have you ever had Japanese food before?
Erin: I’ve had sushi, but that’s about it.
Dad: Did you like it?
Erin: It was okay.
Dad: They have a lot of dishes other than sushi.
Erin: Like what?
Dad: Well, their specialty is ramen noodles.
Erin: Ramen noodles? Like the packaged noodles I make for lunch?
Dad: No, no. The ramen noodles you order at a Japanese restaurant are much different. They taste way better. You really can’t compare. They are served in soy sauce or miso soup with sliced pork, green onion, and egg.
Erin: Oooo, that sounds good! I love miso soup. When do you want to go?
Dad: Let’s go right now. Just let me get changed.
