Dialogue:
The Insomnia
Dad: Erin, what are you doing up? It’s three o’clock in the morning.
Erin: I can’t sleep.
Dad: Is something troubling you?
Erin: Yeah, I’m really nervous about tomorrow’s performance.
Dad: I’m sure you’ll do fine. You’ve practiced enough.
Erin: I know. But I can’t stop worrying. What if I make a mistake?
Dad: Try not to think about it. You are going to be amazing tomorrow. Now go to bed and get some sleep.
Erin: I’ll try, but when I lie down I just end up staring at the ceiling.
Dad: You need something to take your mind off of it. Do you want me to read you a story like I did when you were young?
Erin: Would you?
Dad: Sure that’s what dads are for.
Erin: By the way, what are you doing up?
Dad: Just grabbing a snack from the fridge.
