Dialogue:
The Mystery of the Chocolates
Erin: Hi, Dad. I’m home.
Dad: How was school today?
Erin: Great! We watched a movie in social studies. Hey! What happened to my chocolates?
Dad: They’re right there on the counter.
Erin: I can see that, but there are three missing.
Dad: Maybe, your brother took them.
Erin: But he hasn’t come home from school yet. Dad?
Dad: It was probably your mother then.
Erin: I doubt it. She’s at work. Besides, she doesn’t even like chocolates. Dad?
Dad: Don’t look at me. I didn’t take them. Maybe, the dog ate them.
Erin: Dad! Is that chocolate on your chin? Gasp! It was you!
Dad: Fine. I confess. I ate your chocolates. Are you happy now?
Erin: How could you?
Dad: They were staring at me all day. If you don’t want your chocolates eaten, then next time don’t leave them lying around.
