Reading Puzzle Packets
The reading riddle packets use a sight words based approach to encourage word recognition. Each packet contains several sentences that can be put together like a puzzle. The words in the packets are mostly taken from the list of Dolch sight words and Dolch nouns. Sight words are high frequency words that often do not follow regular phonetic patterns and so should be learned by sight instead of through decoding skills.
