Synonyms are a great way to introduce vocabulary, so we've added three sections covering about 90 synonym pairs. The sections are grouped roughly according to level: basic, intermediate, and advanced. Synonym Pairs Basic Level Pairs covered: seat/chair, simple/easy, mad/angry, ill/sick, tiny/little, stone/rock, large/big, toss/throw, huge/big, skinny/thin, enjoy/like, late/tardy, giggle/laugh, hop/jump, shut/close, weird/strange, loud/noisy, shut/close, begin/start, finish/end, clever/smart, middle/centre, difficult/hard, friendly/kind, chat/talk, tidy/clean, silent/quiet, naughty/bad
