recruitment fee:  This is the fee that recruiters charge language institutes to pay for finding a teacher for institute. Sometimes, this is fee is hefty, over $1500 U.S. As a result, language institute owners feel they have to get that back out of their teahcers through hours worked. Some recruiters charge both language institute and teacher, and even charge a fee per month while the teacher is employed. Universities generally do not pay recruitment fees so if a teacher gets a job through a recruiter, the teacher may have to pay the fee himself or herself.

Many recruiters play a valuable service by connecting employers and teachers, and hence, correcting informational deficiencies.
