Dolch Sight Words Assessment Forms

 

 

 

 

Even if you don't specifically teach Dolch words, they can be a valuable tool for assessment since they are the most frequently found words. In theory, strong readers are more likely to know them since they are so common and they are free from context. Many kindergarten and elementary school teachers set them as targets for parents. Here are a series of assessment forms for the Dolch sight words. To monitor improvement over time, there are three slots to mark at three different assessment dates though many teachers only use two.
